NEW VISIT TO PRAGUE
One more stay in Prague, for a sunny weekend, and some more pictures for my collection.
The Old Jewish Cimeterry. This time, i didnt steal the photo from a hole in a door, i paid my ticket and walked the paths of this amazing place. You can see how old is the place on the first photo : the tree basically grew AROUND the grave and swallowed it !
The Golden Street, Zlata Ulička, the assumed street where the Emperor Rudolf II used to keep his alchemists, but its all a matter of legend. Soldiers lived there in these tiny houses against the northern wall of the castle. The Spanish Synagoga, in Josefov. The Saint Nicholas (Mikulaš) Cathedral in Mala Strana. I had never gotten into this huge and beautiful cathedral before. It is worth to take a look, especially at the ceiling.
And Vyšehrad, the other fortress of Prague, in the South of the city, above the Vltava. The first home of the Czech dukes and kings before they moved to the Prague´s Castle. The place is remarkably quiet and peaceful, maybe because the Basilica shelters a cimeterry where are laid many famous Czech people like Karel Čapek, Emmy Destinn, Dvořak, Smetana, Jan Neruda...
